Tenley Sage Houghton was born into a multi-generational family of educators. She knew at a young age that teaching was in her blood. Although her professional work started in event planning and management, it didn’t take her long to refocus her talents into education. Tenley began her quest for just the right school by teaching afterschool programs and substituting. Her foundation in education began when she found a school that valued teaching to the individual child. As she grew as a teacher, her passion for providing an enriched curriculum to a greater population also grew.

Tenley instills children with zest, optimism, curiosity, and social intelligence. She believes these characteristics (and a few others) can help build an individual’s love for life and a life of learning and thinking! She has over seven years experience teaching primary-school-age thinkers. You can catch her most days watching her year-old son take on the world, exploring the outdoors, gardening, dancing, or cooking with the newest superfood!
